Q. What is PRE-Competition Team?

A. PRE-Competition Team is for dancers ages 5 and up who might be
interested in competition. These dancers rehearse two days a week (Tap/Jazz
class & Ballet class) and compete at 1-2 competitions during the year.
This is a laid back program designed to give the kids a “taste” of competition.
Q. Please explain what you mean by your focus is “FUN” while emphasizing “TECHNIQUE.”

A. At NDA our teachers have a degree in dance or have professional dance
experience. Our main focus in class is for the dancers to have FUN in
an encouraging, uplifting environment!

NDA also likes to emphasize technique, such as pointing toes, straightening
legs, and maintaining posture. Technique becomes important if a dancer
should want to use their dance education in the future.

Of course we begin very slow for the beginners and focus on technique more
intensely with our competitive teams. I have found that the dancers learn to
appreciate the art of dance for what it is and also develop confidence,
self-discipline, and a sense of achievement with this focus.

Anyone is welcome to stop by and view one of our classes!
Q. Do you offer Adult Classes? How much are they?

A. Yes! We offer many classes just for adults! Check out our current schedule
and if you have any other class requests, please let us know!
Q. What class attire is required?

A. All class attire can be purchased at Downtown Dancewear in town as they carry
all of our required styles. Access the NDA Class Attire Sheet by clicking on
the “Classes” link, and then clicking on “NDA Class Attire.” Please call the studio
with any questions.
